Ready-to-run speedboats from Traxxas, AquaCraft, ProBoat Kyosho, RageRC, and OffshoreElectrics can reach speeds over 40 mph out of the box and with modifications can reach well into the 50-60 mph range. These types of boats are referred to as "hobby grade" and can be found only at hobby shops and retailers.

Kits are also available from Dumas, ZipKits, Guapner, and others. 

Boats are available with Electric, Nitro, and Gasoline engines.
